Best Claude skills marketplaces compared
Where to find skills for Claude, what each place is good at, and how we chose what to include.
There is no single best Claude skills marketplace; pick by job. For official plugins, use Anthropic's Claude Marketplace. For popular open skills, skills.sh. For breadth, SkillsMP. How we chose and compared
A site is included if it (1) lets you find SKILL.md skills, or plugins that carry them, for Claude; (2) was live when we opened it on 2 October 2026; and (3) appeared in the top ten web results we recorded that day for prompts such as "best Claude skills marketplace", or was named in the same run's competitor list, or is Anthropic's own directory. Articles and awesome lists are left out because they are lists of lists.
For each site we recorded what it says about itself: what it is, how you install, which security checks it describes, and price. Counts and prices are self-reported; we did not test any scanner. There is no score. "Best for" is our editorial judgement. Edge is our product and gets the same columns.

Which marketplace should I use?
- You want something official and supported: start with Anthropic's Claude Marketplace.
- You know the skill by name: install it from skills.sh.
- You are not sure which skill fits the task: let your agent search with Edge, then read what it picked. How to choose a skill.
- You need a polished business workflow and will pay: Agensi.
- Security review comes first: check a grade on Skills Directory and read are agent skills safe.
- You want to see what exists: SkillsMP.
Where does Edge fit?
Most marketplaces are places you browse. Edge is a connector your agent uses: it describes the task, Edge returns ranked matches from the public catalog with a security state, and the agent loads one for the current task. It works in Claude Code, the Claude app, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and ChatGPT. Search is free during early access. Limits: Edge relies on the skills.sh catalog, it ranks by task fit rather than popularity, and a reviewed skill is not a safety guarantee. Common questions
Where do I find official Claude skills?
Anthropic runs the Claude Marketplace of plugins that bundle tools, skills and integrations for Claude Code and Cowork, the claude-plugins-official directory, and the public anthropics/skills repository.
Are skills from these marketplaces safe?
Not by default. Security checks differ by site, and some do none. Read are agent skills safe for the risks and a short checklist.
Do Claude skills work in Codex and other agents?
Usually. Skills use the open SKILL.md format, so most work in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others. Check each skill's requirements. See skills in Codex.
Why is Edge on this list if you make it?
Because it is one of the ways to get skills into Claude, and leaving it out would hide our interest instead of stating it. We applied the same columns to it and listed its limits.
